Often used interchangably with ‘climate change’, global warming refers to a change in global temperatures and weather patterns over time, either due to natural or human activity. The progressive gradual rise of the earth’s surface temperature is thought to be caused by the greenhouse effect and responsible for changes in global climate patterns.
